Building Your Business With Branding In Mind
Working with the Valley Center Chamber of Commerce we presented apart of their Building Series where local professionals bring a topic to share with other business and community members. With our knowledge of branding and graphic design we thought it would be helpful to bring knowledge that could help small businesses be able to take better charge of their branding and how to work vendors to get items produced or create consistency accross communication and social media platforms.

Just a side reflection - Often people don’t think about how branding can give their business the structure it could have been missing. You may be great and successful at what you do but it won’t be seen if the voice of your bsuinesss isn’t established. Giving consistency and showcasing what people should expect when working with you can give you that step in the door or that extra credibility. I myself have been working on also creating this voice and consistency and those small steps push you further out there.
My goal is to give someone the opportunity to develop and create that voice. When people see a certain combo of colors, specific fonts, and chosen words you are giving them a look into who they will be building that professional relationship with. When I work with my clients I want when they walk out to feel confident in what they have and know how to use it. Many times I hear how people are wanting to get their logos on merch and don’t even know what files they need to send. Or even blame the printers they hired for printing for low quality prints when really they sent them a low resolution file ( making it fuzzy looking and just messy). Think of a low resolution logo printed to a too casual outfit for a formal event; you can use it sometimes but you will be out of place when it comes to the day to present yourself.
When I talk about communication you want to make sure in all spaces the voice is there for the brand, so that when you are not in the room you are still being sold. When people see certain combinations they should some how be thinking okay that is (insert company name here) because they have seen your communication before whether it was in a newspaper, an email, or a social post they can feel the company every step of the way.
Tagged District over time has transformed and evolved and so we are still trying to build that voice for us. In all honesty working in the design industry setting for other companies as an employee and trying not to step on any toes or cross anylines has prevented us from pushing alot of this for Tagged District. But with our new change to being A Maker Company we are now not only going to help so many more people directly without restrictions and red tape, we will also be sharing more of our voice and who we are. Which is why we are doing this blog, To show the growth and development. Working in the design industry for over 10 years we have been apart of some amazing projects but now we are taking a step to connecting directly with our clients.
Keep an eye out for all of our new adventures through this blog you can subscribe to our email list to see the next blog and follow us on social media Tagged District on all platform we have. ( Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for now)
